Collection: Quinta do Olival da Murta

Located in Lisboa’s Óbidos sub-region, Quinta do Olival da Murta has been in the Vivas family for five consecutive generations.  Having sold the grapes for many years, in 2013 Joana Vivas (seated right) and her cousins, the fifth generation, began vinifying the cream of their crop.  With uber-selection from shy-bearing parcels, they currently produce just 10,000 bottles a year.  With a minimal intervention philosophy, the estate’s 20 hectares are cultivated organically and wines are made with no additions, save for minimal sulphites.  The family also cultivate aromatic herbs, producing organic tisanes and condiments.
