Vinho Verde

Nuno Morais Vaz is one of Portugal's most exciting young winemakers.  He co-founded Portugal Boutique Winery before moving on to establish Geographic Wines with his partner Daniela Matias.  Hunting high and low, the couples' 'magpie' philosophy has taken them to the mountainous Douro and Trás-os-Montes regions and also the lower-lying coastal climes of Vinho Verde and Bairrada.  Here, they have identified high potential old vines and unusual parcels with the goal of elevating the grapes to fresh heights.  Contemporary yet faithful to both terroir and variety, their wines are exciting and authentic.
