Arinto dos Açores is Pico’s dominant variety. This example reveals ripe, round, touch woolly and wild stone fruit, with hints of cinnamon. Edgy acidity teases out the flavours and brings tension to the lively, persistent finish. Just 3,333 bottles were made.

After foot-treading, the grapes were pressed in a vertical press and naturally fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine aged on fine lees for eight months prior to bottling, 40% in used 225l French oak barrels, 60% in stainless steel.
